Who Is “Muhammadim” In the Song of Solomon?

 

The CLAIM:

Is Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the Bible. especially in the Song of Solomon, chapter 5 verse 16?

We read in Hebrew: “Hikko Mamittakim we kullo Muhammadim Zehdoodeh wa Zehraee Bayna Yerusalem.”

It means “His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem

 

The original Hebrew Bible has “Muhammadim” in the place of “altogether lovely”, but the translators rendered it “altogether lovely”. It should have been “the Praised One” — that is the correct meaning of “Muhammadim”.

The DAMNING EVIDENCE:

1) No where in the hadiths is Muhammad called MuhammadIM, he is called either MuhammadIN or MuhammadAN.

2) Machmad, which is the actual Hebrew word, appears in more places in the Bible, not only Song of Solomon 5:16.

3) Machmad itself, has MULTIPLE meanings in MULTIPLE places: Desirable (2), Desire  (3), Pleasant (1), Precious One (1), Precious Thing (2), Precious Treasure (1), Treasures (1), Valuable (1).

4) To say a word in one language means the same in another, is blatant ignorance, for example the Arabic word "AKBAR" as in Allahu Akbar (God is Great), the Hebrew word ACHBAR, pronounced the same, means MOUSE, so does this mean, when Muslims say "Allahu Akbar", they are saying "God is a MOUSE".

5) The story of the Song of Solomon, is a love story about King Solomon, and his Shulamite wife (S.o.S 6:13).

6) All the features listed in the Song of Solomon, which Muslims claim are about Muhammad, are actually about Solomon.
